Auntie Abbie Pi, the Chinese-Hawaiian matriarch who raised “Paps” Mui as an orphan, lives in an old house way up on the stream in the back of the valley. They say when she was a young girl, she was the banana blossom blooming in the heart of almost every young man on the island.

This is a beloved family pie recipe of our mom, Jenny, adapted here for the paleta.  Ripe apple bananas are carmelized into a banana pudding, blended with rich, mild Naked Cow Dairy Wainae cream cheese and island milk, then swirled with an organic coconut and graham cracker struesel. It's the Hawaiian pie classic, frozen on a stick! For reals!
